My Blog

Welcome to my Website

I wrote my first short plays by hand and then performed them with my sisters and friends to entertain our parents (about age 6) and soon classmates (age 9.)  When I went to college, I had to type my papers because my handwriting was illegible.  I can still see the manual Smith-Corona on the hood of my old Ford LTD as I pecked away to get assignments done.  I did research in the library, took classes in person, and when I submitted my work to magazines and theatres, I included a handwritten letter and a stamped envelope with the manuscript.

About twenty years ago, I fully embraced the computer age: I submitted to magazines, took writing classes, served as a reader and editor for an ezine, and self-published all online. I had a website. Then, that chapter of my life ended.

A huge part of this new chapter is writing, submitting, and publishing again. In 2024, that involves maintaining a media presence.  I have fun with different platforms and the latest tools, such as Canva, but I did not create this website.  After weeks of watching “simple steps” videos and unsuccessfully following them, I turned to GoDaddy and hired their team.  Now, when asked for my URL, I have one which leads here.
